This is my stab at producing something more abstract than the things I usually paint. It was inspired by an ordinary head and shoulders image – what magazine designers call a ‘mugshot’ – which I was sent as an email attachment. The image file got corrupted in the sending and this is how it appeared.
I decided to make a painting of it rather than simply reproduce it as a digital image.
The print sheet size will be 420mm x 420mm.
